Please take a moment to read through our welcome information below which provides resources to help you get started. Information includes Skyward, Canvas, Lunch Accounts, Income-Based Assistance Applications, Transportation, Fees, and Technology.

Dear Families,

Welcome to MSD of Pike Township. We are so glad you have chosen Pike Schools for your student. The children who attend school in Pike Township are incredibly bright and amazingly talented. With a vast array of programs designed to educate students at all learning levels, numerous artistic and athletic outlets, and an emphasis on nurturing the whole child, our district is committed to ensuring that every child realizes his or her utmost potential on their educational journey.

To help you get started, we wanted to pass along some helpful information as your student starts their experience in Pike Township schools.

  1. Google - All Pike students have a Google account created for them when they are enrolled. When accessing different programs, you may be prompted to sign in. If there is a "Sign in with Google" button, use this along with the Pike e-mail address and password to quickly sign in. *The “Sign in with Google” option should only be used for school-related programs and websites.
  2. Clever - Clever is a portal where students login one time to access several websites or programs that are approved by Pike. Common websites include Canvas, Savvas, McGraw Hill, and Edmentum.
  3. Canvas - Canvas is the learning management system that Pike uses for digital learning as well as in-person activities. Teachers post lessons, assignments, tests/quizzes, and more to engage students in learning. More information on Canvas can be found on Pike Parent University.
  4. Microsoft Teams - During times of e-learning, students will participate in live classes via Teams. The links to these live meetings can be found in Canvas in each of your student's classes.
  5. Skyward Family Access - Skyward is the student information system that is used by Pike Township to track your student’s grades, attendance, class schedule, bus information, and demographic information.
  6. ParentSquare - ParentSquare is our mass communication tool. Families will receive all messages from teachers, schools, and the district through ParentSquare.
  7. Lunch Accounts - You can add money to your student’s lunch account using My School Bucks. You can view the School Menus from NutriSlice.
  8. Income-Based Assistance - If you are interested in applying for income-based assistance, you will need to complete the Income Based Assistance application for the upcoming school year. A new application must be completed each school year.
  9. Transportation - Bus information can be found in Skyward Family Access. Follow these steps to view your child’s bus information:
    • Log in with your Skyward Family Access username and password.
    • If you do not know your account information, contact your child's school or the Navigation Specialist.
    • Select the Bus tab to display bus information.

    You can contact Transportation at 317-280-2450 between 8 AM - 4 PM. Here Comes the Bus information can be found on the Transportation Department’s website.

  10. Curriculum Material and Miscellaneous Fees - The School Board may assess and collect a reasonable fee for lost or significantly damaged curricular materials, uniforms, instruments, and other property. Unpaid fees may be referred to a collection agency.

  12. Our Schools - The MSD of Pike Township has one early learning center, 9 elementary schools, 3 middle schools, 1 preparatory academy, and 1 high school that houses the freshman and career centers.
